Fall Leaves

Porcupine Meatballs

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
1 pound ground beef
1 cup uncooked instant rice
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 cup minced onion
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons shortening
1 clove garlic, minced

DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, thoroughly mix 1/4 cup of the tomato soup with the ground beef, rice, egg, onion and salt. Firmly shape into 16 meatballs.
In a small bowl, mix remaining tomato soup with a half soup can of water and the mustard.
Melt the shortening in a large skillet over medium heat. Place garlic and meatballs in the skillet. Cook, gently stirring, until evenly browned; drain. Pour tomato soup and mustard mixture over the meatballs and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through.

A new little porch swing. Thanks Pam!

Bye bye Puggy party (pacifier) complete with ice cream, sprinkles and a candle.

Helping put together the new meat smoker.

Sadie is very good with a screwdriver :-)

What a peach!

We found a little toy golf set for Levi (it was leftover from a garage sale and was free by the road--my faovrite kind of shopping)

He was a little confused at first and tried to put it on the baseball tee.
Sadie's first tea party--and maybe Andy's too! It is hard to see and hear, but she is "pouring" into a cup and then slurping out of the cup-all imaginary of course.

The first swing.

As I was drinking my coffee in the kitchen I could tell Levi was up to something. When I can in the living room I see him on the floor with the videos lined up next to the VCR. I guess he was planning his day (or so he thought!) There are no words to describe how much we love this kid!

The Rudin Farm Days was this weekend and we thought the kids would like it. There is no shortage of farm type annual events in our area. Levi like the chicks and even stuck his finger in the cage to touch them.

The three little pigs-straw house, stick house and brick house.

Andy wants me to point out the 12.5 ton steam engine roller in the background. It sounded like a train and even had a whistle. It belonged to a town around here in the 20's or 30's for building roads we assume. Levi called it "scary."

The saw mill is in the background.

First Steps

In the past two weeks or so we noticed Sadie standing on her own more.
And we saw her taking leaps between pieces of furniture and across her crib. She gets so excited and sometimes falls down laughing! Then it happened. One step turned into 4, then to 10. Now she can go across the room (which you know isn't far if you have been to our house.) She still prefers to crawl, but is chosing to walk more often lately. As I am typing she is pulling the pillows off the couch onto the floor and "falling" and rolling on them. I wonder who taught her that!?! LEVI! Monkey see, Monkey do!

Family Camping

Our cabin at Rock Mountain Bible Camp. Pretty nice! There were bunk beds but the two bottom ones could be put together to make a double bed.
Testing out the bed.

A nice little lake!

The tiny speck on the water is Andy and Levi in a canoe.

S'mores!

I told Levi to sit on the rock so I could take his picture. He proceeded to pose about 10 different ways. When I said that we were all done taking pictures he said, "Aww cute."

The snack shop. This may have been Levi's favorite part of camping!

Nature hike.

Camp donuts.

When we pulled into the driveway Levi was OUT! He had a rough ride home. We took some winding back roads and he got sick!
